Shri Shailendra Pandey born on August 7, 1947 has an M.Phil (in Financial Administration)
from Punjab University, a Master's Diploma in Public Administration from the Indian Institute
of Public Administration, New Delhi, and an M.Sc. in Mathematics from St. Stephens College, New Delhi.
He was a Member of the IA&AS (1971 batch).
He retired as Deputy Comptroller & Auditor General of India in the rank of Secretary
to Government of India.
He also held the following posts at the Government of India :
- Member (Economic & Commercial), Central Electricity Authority and Additional Secretary to the
Govt. of India, Ministry of Power.
- Principal Accountant General, UP, Allahabad.
- Accountant General Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland etc.
- Joint Secretary to the Govt. of India & F.A., Ministry of Water Resources.
- Joint Secretary to the Govt. of India & F.A., M/o Social Justice & Empowerment.
- Joint Secretary to the Govt. of India & F.A., M/o Labour.
- Director, Department of Atomic Energy.
- He joined as Administrative Member in the CAT since 14.09.2007.
